Little Lille, Little me!!

There are two kinds of travelling: relaxing and moving. The former is better to spend with friends and family or someone special. The latter is much more enchanting to make it yourself. When I was a kid, of course it was always with family. But the more I grow up, the desire to travel by myself to test my ability, enlarge and challenge it to the utmost. Especially, huge thanks must have been said to this continent, Europe, where I have been growing up with more consciousness and fully openness to the unknown-unknowns 😉

A weekend away in Lille to question and answer myself what I have been and am doubting. What I am really passionate and love to do, to spend my time on earth more worthily. Who do I want to become? Who do I want to spend my time with?

Little Lille, Little Me. This trip was extraordinarily fantastic, which awoke me ability to have enough courage to travel and wonder around alone again. Discovering everything without much hesitation, the less you know the more brave you are. I let myself lose into unknown area, wherein I would have never entered if the second thought had come. I met new interesting people, let my eyes truly widely open as a tourist, visitor and try to act local, think global ;). English is not really a helpfully survival tool there. People usually assume everyone knows English, and it would be enough. That’s the reason sometimes I am wondering why I need to learn more languages. Although I just stubbornly believe that it might help someday somehow. And it is so true that many parts of the world, even in Europe, the more languages you know the higher percentage you will access to other people’s heart 😉

I had not plan anything except for two critical things I have to make sure: places to sleep at night and how to go and return. That’s all. The rest of this weekend away was just exploring to new things, let myself completely lose and be a child with eagerness and curiosity to go and do whatever I resonated it was the right thing to do. I by chance was sweetly invited to Renaissance exhibitions over Detroit, Rio de Janeiro and Korean. How historically artistic Detroit was presented! How exhilarating and lively Rio de Janeiro was illustrated. It was totally eye catching as the South American warm, full of sunshine winds had just been blown to this European city commencing to autumn with dry and dully cold atmosphere.  Especially beyond my expectation, there was tea tester corner with all kinds of herb from jasmine, lemon grass, mint to all the name I wasn’t aware of. Also there was a leaflet with useful knowledge regarding how to make use of this whole warm drink. Honestly, I was a coffee-holic, but turned out; I have been molding myself to tea enjoyer. J  Moreover, it was so amazing to notice that at the museum or exhibition place, there were always chairs, sofas, even hammocks to enjoy the art fully rest.  Excitedly, I had chance to try on the traditional Korean dress – Hanbok, the first time in France lol , how lovely bizarre it was! I was truly cherished myself than ever.

Sitting in a café with my favorite book was one of the most rewarding thing I am always dreaming and enjoying enormously, especially in Lille, nice people ( albeit the fact that everyone said French are like this, like that, not so amiable, I kinda disagree), cool drink and dedicated sweet cake. I am in love with simple things like that. Although I did wish to have wifi access and the laptop with me, sometimes it is good to be aware that you can’t have it all and was able to stay away from the modern technology lol. Then I can just be okay with the situation, accept and enjoy it as much as you can. That’s why I could read and learn many things in the book which I procrastinate the reading times to times because of other distraction or assumed priority. Without those, I deeply read it and pondered how I can apply in my personal case. The answer was sort of disclose to me naturally.

Little Lille, Little me, a weekend away was just outright exactly what I needed and never regret I made it happened!!
